It is with great pride that MoonWillow Stables stands 2001 AQHA grey stallion SIXES PLAYMATE (4078039). While not having entered the show-ring himself, this Stallion does not lack for bloodlines or personality to compete and win. His solid personality and show stopping air catch attention everywhere he goes.

Sired by Royal Quick Dash, and Grand-sired by the living legend First Down Dash his bloodlines are extraordinary if what you desire is speed. Both stallions have continued to produce horses that consistently win at the track.

While it is unknown if his heart is endeed larger than normal, his drive “heart” certainly is. Six survived a foalhood bout of pneumonia leaving him with little use of his lung. This does not inhibit his ability to perform and he continues to astound us here at the farm. We hope, in the near future, to enter him into several small competitions to show his well-rounded sire potential.

Six’s abilities as a stallion and as a sire are not limited to his pedigree. His personality, level-headedness and heart will prove useful in ANY discipline. The plans for his competition career include hunter/jumper, western pleasure, and potentially competitive trail and driving classes. He has already learned the basics of driving and pleasure and will continue his very versatile training. For those wondering if his line carries any "cow", he has been worked in an open pasture situation with beef cattle. While he has no training for cutting, he does track cows. Put him on one and he will push her whereever you want to go. 

He does have three foal crops already on the ground. His second and third foal crops show great potential and all the stud colts were sold at the Tom Lockwood Sale in Sealy, Texas on Oct 25^th . Six himself was there to supervise his foals. He enjoyed getting out and meeting his progeny as well as showing off for the public. All the colts were in the top sellers for yearlings and coming two year olds at the sale.  I only hope that a few went to homes where we will be able to see them perform in the next few years! Six now has a whopping 9 stud colts out in the public between the ages of 6months and coming 3 years! The best is yet to come! I had the privelege of getting to see his yearling and two year old fillies at Texas A&M in May. They are very well put together. Their conformation is stunning and the girls are TALL! I was truly surprised to see that half of them were as tall as he is and have yet to reach their full height.

This stallion has stood the previous three years at the Texas A&M University Large Animal Clinic. His first year of foals were splendid and are now coming three year olds. All Six's fillies still reside at A&M. This will be his first season open to the public for breedings. A limited booking is available.
